이번 서울 개인전을 위해 ShowStudio에서 공개하였던 영상 프로젝트를 약 3미터의 크기로 프린팅 했다고 합니다.

Printing this image for my exhibition in Seoul .Its from the first live @showstudio performance project entitled Sleep . We styled 8 models , did their hair and make up and then asked them to sleep . We put a webcam over the bed and broadcast their sleeping performance through out one entire night . This was in 2003 and the webcam put out one still every minute . That was the state of live streaming back then !! This is the beautiful Zora Star sleeping . Styled by @simonfoxton hair @sammcknight1 makeup @thevalgarland I am printing this webcam still at 9 feet tall and it's so beautiful !! It looks like a painting ! #lovelowfi

사진과 페인팅이 무엇인지 그 경계의 의미를 구분짓지 않으려는 닉 나이트의 실험이 담겨 있습니다.

Rose VII. Part of the content for my first large solo show which will be opening at Daelim Museum Seoul, South Korea / @daelimmuseum on the 6th of October. In these rose images the wet ink is moving across the surface of the print and I accelerate it and change its direction by use of humidity and temperature. So effectively I am moving paint across a canvass. What is the best name for this ? It is photography or painting? This is why I called the exhibition Image. It seems to encompass what I do. Rose VII 는 10월 6일 서울 대림 미술관에서 열리는 제 첫 개인전에 보여질 작품 중에 하나입니다. 이 장미 이미지들을 만드는 과정에서는 마르지 않은 잉크가 프린트의 표면을 움직이는데 저는 그것을 온도와 습도를 통해 극대화시키며 방향을 조절합니다. 그렇다면 사실상 이것은 페인트를 캔버스 위에 움직이는 것과 같은데, 이것은 포토그라피일까요 페인팅일까요? 이것이 이번 전시의 타이틀이 Image인 이유입니다. 그것이 제가 하는 작업을 아우르는 표현인듯 해서.

닉 나이트가 소개하는 칼라프린터 전문가 브라이언 돌링(@briandowligbdi)이 손수 프린팅한 작업물을 소개하고 있습니다.
일명 아날로그 포토샵이라고 하는 손수 프린팅한 작업물입니다.

This image of the wonderful @shalomharlow from an unreleased Louis Vuitton campaign in 1996, was hand printed by, in my opinion the best colour printer in the world, Brian Dowling / @briandowlingbdi He would make acetate masks to print the different parts of the image; one for clothes,one for skin, one for background for example, and then in the total darkness of a colour darkroom, he would combine all the different colour filtrations on the same sheet of photographic paper by using these masks . An analogue version of photoshop years before it was invented ! It would often take us 2 or 3 days of experimenting and combining different colours to get a print we were actually happy with . See a range of these exquisite photographic prints in my exhibition Image @daelimmuseum in Seoul South Korea opening this October. 이 이미지는, 제가 생각하기에 세계 최고의 칼라프린터 전문가인 브라이언 돌링이(@briandowligbdi) 손으로 직접 프린팅한 샤롬 할로우입니다. 브라이언 돌링은 예를 들면 이미지의 옷 부분, 얼굴 부분, 배경 각각을 프린팅할 아세테이트 마스크들을 만들어서 어두컴컴한 암실에서 다양한 색상버전을 사진 시트 한장에 결합해냅니다. 아날로그 버전의 포토샵 같은거죠, 포토샵이 개발되기도 전에! 이렇게 훌륭하게 뽑아낸 프린트들을 10월, 대림미술관(@daelimmuseum)에서 열리는 제 전시에서 보실수 있습니다.

패션 디자이너 Martine Sitbon과 함께한 이미지로 매혹적인 사진입니다.

From 1990 , this image is of the beautiful Amanda Cazalet modelling for the designer Martine Sitbon with art direction by Marc Ascoli. It was shot on a 10/8 Sinar which is a really lovely but totally demanding camera to use . It's about the size of large television and takes a single sheet of film at a time . Each sheet of film was 10 inches by 8 , hence the name and also meant the image would be super sharp and detailed . Film was very expensive too so I was only allowed 20 sheets of film per shot . It meant you had to really put everything into those 20 shots !! This image will be in my exhibition in the @daelimmuseum in Seoul, South Korea. 이번 전시를 위한 디지털 리프린트 중에 난이도가 가장 있었다는 작품 소개 입니다.

The extraordinarily beautiful @lindaevangelista for Jil Sander in 1990. She was so beautiful she really looked like she was from a different world! Wonderful art directing from @marcascoli, @lindacantello on make up. Shot on a Sinar 10/8 and cross processed, this image was possibly one of the most lovely BDI prints that @briandowlingbdi ever printed for me. We would print the base in cold colours and then over flash with ivories and very gentle pinks and was one of the hardest of all the pictures I printed in LA to digitally remaster. I know one should never be self congratulatory but looking back at this and thinking of all the brilliant people who helped create it fills my heart with joy. This picture will be part of my show at @daelimmuseum . Opens 6th October in Seoul , South Korea. 이 사진은 1990년에 질 샌더를 위해 촬영한 아름다운 린다 에반젤리스타입니다. 촬영 당시 그녀는 너무 아름다워서 다른 세상에서 온 것 같았습니다. @marcascoli 가 아트디렉팅하고 @lindacantello가 메이크업을 했습니다. Signar 10/8로 촬영하고 교차 현상된 이 이미지는 아마 @briandowlingbdi 가 프린팅한 사진 중 가장 대단한 사진이 아닐까 합니다. 차가운 색깔들을 베이스로 프린트한 뒤 아이보리 그 뒤에 옅은 분홍색으로 오버플래시해야 했으며 이번 전시를 위해 LA에서 디지털로 재프린트한 사진들 중 가장 재현하기 어려웠습니다. 자만은 아니지만 사실 이 사진을 볼때마다 가슴이 벅차오릅니다. 한국 서울에서 10월 6일 @daelimmuseum에서 열리는 제 전시에서 이 사진을 만나볼수 있습니다.

알렉산더 맥퀸의 블랙 쇼 패션필름이 개인전에서 공개된다고 합니다!!

Alexander McQueen's Black show. Lee McQueen was sponsored by American Express and to celebrate the launch of their Black card they asked him to create a show . It was held in the huge old Earls Court Stadium and for it Lee remade all his favourite outfits from previous collections but in black . Except for this one which was the finale and the model stood still as a shower of water rained down upon her . The show was opened by Kate Moss and Michael Clark dancing together . I have footage of the rehearsals of that dance which I will post soon . My film of the Black show will be in my exhibition Image which opens on the 6th of October in Seoul South Korea at the @daelimmuseum . 아메리칸 익스프레스가 그들의 블랙카드 런칭을 위해 알렉산더 맥퀸에게 부탁해 열린 Black 쇼. 맥퀸은 쇼를 위해 그가 전 컬렉션에서 가장 좋아하는 룩들을 선택해 검은색으로 재창조했고 쇼는 오래된 Earls Court Stadium에서 열렸습니다. 가만히 서있는 모델 위로 비가 내리는 듯한 연출을 한 피날레의 이 단 하나의 룩만을 제외하고. 이 쇼를 위한 오프닝에서는 케이트 모스와 마이클클락이 함께 춤을 추었는데, 제가 가지고 있는 그들의 리허설 비디오는 곧 포스팅할 예정입니다. 이 블랙 쇼의 패션필름은 10월 6일 대림미술관@daelimmuseum 에서 열리는 제 개인전에서 보실 수 있습니다.

Picture of the beautiful @mingxi11 wearing Chanel Couture and taken in the wonderful little daylight studio we had in Bruton place , SHOWstudio's Mayfair home for 4 years. It was one of the best daylight studios I have ever worked in. I loved it. Perfect daylight studios , like the ones Irving Penn and Richard Avedon worked in,are almost impossible to find in London. Sadly I noticed they present owners have removed the studio from the building. It no longer exists . Heartbreaking. This picture is part of my first solo show which opens on 6th October in @daelimmuseum Seoul, South Korea . Hair by @sammcknight1 Make up by @petros_petrohilos nails by @adamslee_ styling Jonathan Kaye. 샤넬 쿠튀르를 입은 아름다운 밍시 @mingxi11의 이 사진은 4년동안 쇼스튜디오의 보금자리였던 런던 메이페어의 스튜디오의 아름다운 햇볕 아래 촬영되었습니다. 그 곳은 제가 지금까지 작업했던 스튜디오들 중 볕이 가장 좋은 스튜디오였습니다. 런던에서 찾기가 거의 불가능한 마치 어빙펜과 리차드아베돈의 사진에서와 같은 완벽한 일광. 슬프게도 현재는 건물주에 의해 빌딩 자체에서 스튜디오를 없애버려 더이상 존재하지 않습니다. 너무나 안타깝죠.

모자 디자이너로 유명한 스티브 존슨(Stephen Jones)의 포트레이트 사진에 대한 이야기를 나누고 있습니다.

Part of the exhibition I am having in the @daelimmuseum in Seoul, South Korea is a selection of portraits I have done. This is the wonderful @stephenjonesmillinery . It was taken in 1985 and is one of the first portraits I shot for Terry Jones' i-D magazine . The camera was a Hasselblad , and I was allowed two rolls of tri-X film with 12 frames per roll. I had one 500 watt bulb for the background and one for the front in a silver dish reflector which I called the Bailey light after David Bailey and his brilliant 1960s portraits of Mick Jagger , Lennon and McCartney , the Kray twins and so on. I still use the Bailey light, it is so easy to control, and so simple, such a fantastic light. My exhibition opens 6th October. 한국 서울 대림 미술관 @daelimmuseum에서 열리는 제 개인전의 한 부분은 지금까지 작업했던 포트레이트들의 셀렉션입니다. 이 이미지는 초창기1985년에 작업한 포트레이트들 중 하나인 스티븐 존스 @stephenjonesmillinery입니다. 당시 한 롤당 12장의 tri-X 두 롤과 하셀블라드로 테리존스의 i-D매거진을 위해 촬영했죠. 배경을 위한 500와트 전구, 정면에 실버 디쉬 리플렉터와 함께 또 하나의 전구, 이 세팅은 제가 "베일리 라이트" 라고 부르는데, 이는 데이비드 베일리의 영향으로 그의 훌륭한 1960대의 믹재거, 존레논, 매카트니, 크레이 쌍둥이 등을 위한 포트레이트들에서 따온 것입니다.저는 아직도 베일리 라이트를 사용합니다. 컨트롤하기 매우 쉽고 간단하며 훌륭한 라이팅을 만들어내기 때문이죠. 제 전시는 10월 6일 오픈합니다.

존 갈리아노가 지휘했던 디올 쿠튀르 5주년 사진!! 역시 전시장에서 볼 수 있다고 합니다.

This image of the beautiful @misserinoconnor was part of a series taken to celebrate @jgalliano's first 5 years of Couture at Dior. I loved being able to hand Erin a sledge hammer and let her smash the hell out of a piano in a reenactment of a KarlHeinz Stockhausen musical score. But there is something even more poetic and erotic about her doing so bare chested and in a dress embroidered with scenes of the execution of Marie Antoinette and wearing a scull cap and a very long plastic nose. This as well as other pictures from this series are on show in my exhibition "Image" that starts on the 6th of October in Seoul South Korea. 이 아름다운 사진은 에린 오코너@misserinoconnor 의 것으로 존갈리아노@jgalliano 의 디올 쿠튀르 5년째를 축하하기 위한 시리즈의 한장입니다. 에린에게 커다란 해머를 건네주고 스톡하우젠의 악보를 재연하는 것처럼 그녀에게 피아노를 때려부수게 했지요. 하지만 여기서 좀 더 시적이고 (그리고 에로틱하게도) 그녀의 이런 액션과 함께 가슴이 훤히 드러나는 마리 앙투아네트의 교수형이 새겨진 자수가 드레스와 해골 모자, 그리고 아주 긴 플라스틱 코가 스타일링 되었습니다. 이 사진은 이 시리즈의 다른 작업들과 함께 10월 6일에 한국 서울에서 열리는 저의 전시 "Image"에서 보실 수 있습니다. In 1997 I worked with my dear friend and also one of the worlds most clever and exciting stylists, @simonfoxton on this image called War . We wanted to make an image that in some way would suggest the trivialness of our differences, and thus the futility of war. 닉 나이트가 처음 시도했던 3d 스캔 이미지라고 합니다.
끈임없이 다양한 시도를 추구하는 그의 도전정신이 그를 최고의 포토그래퍼로 만든것 같습니다.

1998 . My first 3D scan image . I worked with a company called Createk who were interested in re animating dead actors ! They had the really early prototype 3D scanning rig . I loved it as soon as I saw it . Loved the possibilities. Most of all I loved how you could trick the computer. It would read any reflection as a solid object and it could not tell if that object was receding or protruding towards the camera , so it would just make things up . Abstract poetry from a computer . Wonderful ! The shoot was based on the stylist @jane_how making her favourite clothes from that seasons collections using sweet wrappers . The story was called Sweet . ( see it on SHOWstudio.com) This is Lacroix . Hair @sammcknight1 make up @thevalgarland model Vivien Solari 제가 처음으로 시도했던 3D 스캔 이미지입니다. 당시 사망한 배우들을 애니메이팅하는 Createk이라는 회사와 함께 작업했는데 그들은 초창기 프로토타입의 3D 스캐닝장비를 가지고 있었고, 저는 처음 본 순간 그 기술에 빠졌죠, 그 기술의 가능성에요. 이 촬영은 당시 컬렉션 중에 스타일리스트 Jane How가 가장 좋아하는 옷들을 사탕봉지를 이용해 만드는 컨셉으로 진행됐고, 헤어는 샘 맥나이트가 @sammcknight1 메이크업은 발 갈란드가 @ Valgarland 모델은 비비안 솔라리가 맡았습니다.

이번 전시에서 볼 수 있는 Vogue 매거진을 위해 진행했던 핸드 프린팅 작업물에 대한 코멘트를 남겼습니다.

요지 야마모토와의 작업물을 소개하였습니다!!

Kwabena's lips from the front cover of the Yohji Yamamoto A/W 1988 men's catalogue. Make up @lindacantello. Art direction @marcascoli This was the first season I used a 10 by 8 camera. It is probably one of the most physically demanding cameras to use. It's huge and unwieldy ,about as manoeuvrable as a washing machine on a telegraph pole, takes one sheet of film at a time and needs a lot of light to create an image. It became my camera of choice for nearly 15 years. By the time I stopped using it , I was so at ease with it , I would throw it around as if it was a tiny point and press. Why use it ? Because of the quality, because it forces you to concentrate and put all your energy into getting the picture in 15 shots as the film was so expensive and because in the end you no longer actually look through it, you know what it is seeing ; you hold the end of a cable release and stand next to your model, nothing in between you and them, effectively this huge camera disappears. I loved that. See this print in all its 10/8 glory at my exhibition Image @daelimmuseum Seoul South Korea from the 6th October. 1988년 요지 야마모토 AW 카탈로그 정면커버의 Kwabena의 입술입니다. 메이크업은 @lindacantello, 아트 디렉션은 @marcascoli 맡았습니다. 아마 체력적으로 가장 다루기 힘든 카메라라면 10/8인데, 제가 그 카메라를 사용한 그의 첫번째 시즌이기도 하죠. 10/8 카메라는 매우 크고 다루기가 불편하며, 한장을 찍는데 빛이 정말 많이 요구됩니다. 제가 15년 가까이 사용한 카메라입니다. 그만 쓸 무렵이 됐을때는 굉장히 편해져서 휘두르며 촬영을 하곤 했죠. 이 카메라를 그 오랜 기간 사용한 이유는 퀄리티입니다. 필름이 굉장히 비싸서 혼신을 다해 집중해서 15장 동안 최고의 결과물을 뽑아낼 수 있게 도와주죠. 또한 카메라가 큰 이유로 결국에는 카메라를 통해 피사체를 보기 보다는 촬영케이블의 끝을 스위치를 잡고 모델 과 제 사이의 경계를 지워버리고 작업했었는데, 그렇게 작업하는 느낌을 저는 정말 좋아했습니다. 이 10/8로 작업한 이 작품을 서울 @daelim gallery에서 10월 6일부터 열리는 제 전시에서 보실 수 있습니다.

1987년 10월 6일, 요지 야마모토(Yohji Yamamoto)의 컬렉션 룩북을 위해 함께한 슈퍼모델 나오미 캠벨(Naomi Camplbell)과의 사진 입니다. 이 사진은 강렬한 레드 톤 색상의 인상 만큼이나 닉 나이트(Nick Knight)를 유명하게 만든 사진 중 하나입니다. 이 촬영을 위해 나오미 캠벨을 계속 춤추게 하였고 너무나 아름다운 광경이라 그 때부터 영상을 남기기로 했다고 합니다. 그 결과가 바로 SHOWstudio의 런칭이였다고 합니다.

1987 This was the very first time I worked with Naomi. She was dancing to a tape that Prince had just given her in a beautiful scarlet coat that Yohji Yamamoto had made as a tribute to Christian Dior . Everytime the flash went off it froze the outline of her silhouette against the white background and the tungsten light lighting her blurred the rest of the image inside the shape made by the flash . It was one of the most beautiful moments of fashion performance I have ever seen , however I looked around me and saw there were only 5 other people in the room . It is exactly at that point that SHOWstudio was born as an idea in my mind . From then on I filmed all my shoots and decided that I wanted to let the world see into my studio and share the amazing things I was seeing . Fashion film and live fashion broadcasting are the core of what SHOWstudio does . See this print in my exhibition @daelimmuseum in Seoul South Korea from October 6th. 1987 이 이미지는 제가 제일 처음 나오미와 한 작업입니다. 요지 야마모토가 크리스찬 디올을 위해 제작한 다홍색 코트를 입고 프린스가 준 테잎에 맞춰 춤을 추는 그녀의 모습이죠. 플래쉬가 터질 때 마다 그녀의 실루엣이 하얀 배경과 함께 그려지고 그녀를 비추는 텅스텐 라이팅이 플래쉬에 의해 그려진 실루엣 안쪽 디테일을 흐려지게 했죠. 제가 본 패션 퍼포먼스 중 가장 아름다운 순간이였습니다. 하지만 제 주변의 오직 5명 정도만 그 광경을 볼 수 있었어요. 이것이 제가 SHOWstudio를 시작하게 된 계기가 된 순간이였습니다. 그 때부터 저는 모든 촬영현장을 영상으로 남기기 시작했고, 세상이 제가 보는 아름다운 순간들을 공유하길 바랬습니다. 패션 필름과 라이브 패션 중계는 SHOWstudio가 존재하는 핵심인 것이죠.

알렉산더 맥퀸과 함께한 작업물 입니다.

David Toole 1998. Previously to doing this shoot, I felt disabled people had never been represented in art in an aspirational way. Classically in painting people with physical disabilities are portrayed critically. Think of Hogarth, Breughel or Bosch. Recently in more enlightened art they are portrayed sometimes with sympathy, sometimes with dignity, but seldom, if ever held up as beautiful. Never as aspirational. Without wishing to sound like a cliché, there is, in my opinion, beauty in everyone. It is the differences between us that make us desirable to each other. Our societies' parameters of what is considered beautiful are set woefully too tight. I want to change that . I want an inclusive society, not exclusive. So I used the visual language and codes I use so frequently in fashion and which are so powerful and are intended to create a feeling of desire in the viewer. The shoot was art directed by Alexander McQueen, styled by @katyengland , hair by @1malcomedwards and @sammcknight1 make up by @thevalgarland nails by @mariannewman and ran in Dazed and Confused and was probably one of the most emotionally important shoots I have done. The impact of the shoot was huge . Literally everyday for over a year after the session I received requests for the pictures for newspapers, magazines, academic articles, conferences and books. This image will be exhibited in my show @daelimmuseum in Seoul, South Korea . It opens on the 6th of October . 데이비드 툴리 1998년 이 촬영을 하기 전에 저는 장애인들이 예술에서 한번도 열망의 대상으로 그려진 적이 없다고 느꼈습니다. 체력적인 장애가 전통적인 페인팅에서는 절대 환영받을 수 없죠. 예술가 호가트, 브루겔 보쉬를 생각해보면 말이죠. 최근에 좀더 진보된 예술들에서는 그들이 종종 동감과 자존감 그리고 외로움의 대상으로 아름답게 그려지기도 합니다만 열망이라는 느낌은 아니였죠. 진부하게 들릴지도 모르겠지만 제 생각에는 모든 사람에게 아름다움이 존재합니다. 서로간의 다름으로 서로가 서로를 열망하게 만드는 것이라 생각하지요. 우리 사회에는 아름다움의 기준이 너무나 비참하고 갑갑하게 책정되어 있습니다. 저는 적대하는 사회보다는 환영하는 사회를 원합니다. 저는 시각적인 언어, 패션에서 대중으로부터 동경받기를 원할 때 제가 아주 자주 사용하는 어떤 코드들을 이용했죠. 작업은 알렉산더 맥퀸에 의해 아트디렉팅되었고, 데이즈드 컨퓨즈드에 실렸으며, 아마 제가 여지껏 했던 촬영들 중 가장 감정적으로 중요한 촬영이었을 것입니다. 작업이 공개된 뒤의 임팩트는 굉장했죠. 1년이 넘게 매일 매일 각종 신문, 잡지, 학술논문, 컨퍼런스, 도서 분야등에서 사진의뢰가 들어왔습니다. 이 작업은 서울 대림미술관에서@daelimmuseum 10월 6일에 오픈하는 제 전시에 포함됩니다.

이전에 공개된 적이 없었던 스킨헤드 시리즈가 이번 전시회 때 공개됩니다.

Skinheads . Hammersmith Palais 1979 . This was shot on a brilliant little camera called an Olympus Pen EE. It was a point and press half frame camera so no need for focusing and I used it for nearly all the Skinhead pictures . I used it with a small multiblitz flash mounted on the hotshoe on the top of the camera . I could the simply point it l towards what or who ever I was interested in and fire it . As it was half frame and made one roll of film effectively have 72 frames on it rather than 36 , I didn't have to waste valuable moments by having to stop and unload and reload film so much . It also meant I had one hand free . Pictures from Skinhead that have previously never been exhibited before are on show @daelimmuseum in Seoul, South Korea . Opens 6th October . 스킨헤드, 해머스미스 클럽홀, 1979년 이 작업은 작지만 굉장했던 Olympus Pen EE라는 카메라에 작은 멀티블리츠 조명을 마운팅해 촬영되었습니다. 그 카메라는 하프프레임의 자동카메라이며 초점 맞출 필요가 없는 이유로 찍고 싶은 피사체에 가져다 대기만 하면 됬었기에 모든 스킨헤드 작업에 사용되었죠. 또한 하프프레임의 카메라이기에 한 롤에 36장이 아니라 72장을 찍을 수 있어 중요한 순간에 필름을 갈아끼우는 수고가 덜했습니다. 또한 한손으로만 사용할 수 있는 장점도 있었죠. 전에 공개된 적이 없었던 스킨헤드 시리즈의 작업들이 10월 6일 서울 대림미술관 @daelimmuseum 에서 오픈하는 제 전시에 보여집니다.

자신의 아이들과 함께 작업한 사진

Dolls 1999. One of the earliest projects on SHOWstudio. Micky Hicks, styled by @camillebwaddington hair by @sammcknight1 and make up by my daughters Ella May and Emily who were 4 and 5 and their 3 year old cousin Billie. I also asked the girls to come and do the models make up in the studio and then afterwards to paint their dolls and to paint on the prints of the pictures and finally I combined all the different elements, There is such freedom of aesthetic choice when you are a child, no codes have been learnt and no examples followed, just the pleasure of colour used almost instinctively . Its strange how we spend so much of our artistic lives trying to regain this feeling of working by pure instinct. This picture will be part of my exhibition Image @daelimmuseum , Seoul , South Korea from the 6th October. Dolls, 1999년 쇼스튜디오의 초창기 작업중 하나입니다. 미키 힉스가 모델을 하고 @camillebidaultwaddington가 스타일링을, @sammcknight1가 헤어를, 메이크업은 당시 4살 5살이였던 제 딸 엘라와 에밀리 그리고 3살이였던 조카 빌리가 맡았습니다. 아이들에게 그들의 인형을 색칠하게 하고 또한 사진 프린트들 위에도 색칠하도록 부탁한뒤, 모든 요소들을 섞어서 이 이미지를 완성시켰죠. 아이들은 그림을 그리는 방법을 배운 적도 없고, 어떤 고정된 개념이 없어 완전히 자유롭게 본능적으로 색깔을 사용하는데 거기엔 순수한 직관으로 그려지는 아름다움이 있습니다. 희안하게도 어른이 된 우리는 이런 느낌을 되찾기 위해 정말 많은 시간과 노력을 기울이죠. 이 작품은 10월 6일 서울 대림미술관@daelimmuseum 에서 오픈하는 제 전시의 일부분입니다.

요지 야마모토를 위한 작업물로 영화 스페이스 2001에 영감을 얻었다고 합니다.
그래픽 디자이너 피터 세빌과의 협업물이라고 합니다.
그리고 한국으로 향하는 비행기에 올랐다고 합니다. Wow

1987. Kirsten Owen for Yohji Yamamoto. As I am flying to Korea tonight I thought this was a very suitable image to post. I used to work on the Yohji campaigns with Peter Saville, as graphic designer, and @marcascoli as art director, both brilliant people and very dear friends . We wanted to do a vision of Summer and imagined it to be set in space. A black Summer. I have always been inspired by Kubrick's Space 2001 film, it is one of those references that keep feeling important to me. This image owes something to that amazing film. Come to the exhibition @daelimmuseum , Seoul South Korea and see the print in real life. It opens on the 6th October and is on for 6 months. 1987년. 요지 야마모토를 위한 크리스틴 오웬. 한국으로 비행하는 오늘 저녁에는 왠지 이 이미지가 딱 맞을 것 같습니다. 그래픽 디자이너 피터 사빌과 아트디렉터 @marcascoli 과 함께한 이 이미지는 우주에서의 여름을 상상하며 작업했죠. 어둡고 검은 여름을요. 큐브릭의 스페이스 2001 영화는 항상 저에게 영감이 되곤 했는데, 이 이미지도 그 영화의 영향을 받은 작업중 하나이죠. 서울 대림미술관 @daelimmuseum에서 열리는 제 전시에서 이 이미지를 실제로 감상하세요. 전시는10월 6일부터 6개월간 진행됩니다.
