아디다스 메이커랩 프로그램을 통해 스니커즈 디자이너 Helen Kirkum(@helenkirkumstudio), Alex Nash(@alexnash187) 그리고 일본 스니커즈 커스텀스토어 @recouture__의 디자이너 Shun Hirose가 참여한 캠퍼스 80S 스니커즈가 스탁엑스(Stockx)에서 333족 한정 판매됩니다(adidas Makerlab Limited Edition Campus 80s on StockX IPO).

영국 런던에서 활동중인 디자이너 Helen Kirkum(@helenkirkumstudio), Alex Nash(@alexnash187) 그리고 Shun Hirose(RECOUTURE)는 아디다스 오리지널스를 대표하는 스니커즈 중 하나인 캠퍼스 80S(Campus 80S)를 각자의 개성을 가득 담아 커스텀 디자인 하였습니다. 아디다스는 참여한 3명의 디자이너를 독일 아디다스 본사(adidas HQ)로 초대하여 10일 동안 프로토타입 제작을 위한 모든 스탭과 자원을 지원했습니다. 그 후 베트남의 아디다스 공장으로 이동하여 대량생산하는 과정을 직접 관리감독 하였다고 합니다. 와우!!!

3명의 디자이너가 참여한 아디다스 메이커랩 캠퍼스 80S(adidas Makerlab Limited Edition Campus 80s)은 StockX 웹사이트의 IPO 페이지를 통해 10월 15일부터 10월 18일까지 72시간 동안만 판매되며 3종류의 신발은 각 333족씩만 제작됩니다. StockX IPO 경매 방식은 모두 블라인드 옥션(비공개 입찰) 방식이라 경매에 참여하는 모든 입찰자는 경매가 종료된 이후에야 최종 낙찰 가격을 알 수 없습니다. 꽤나 재미있는 방식이네요 ㅎ

아디다스 메이커랩 캠퍼스 80S 다큐멘터리(adidas Campus 80s MakerLab Documentary)

아디다스 측은 이번 캠퍼스 80S 아디다스 메이커랩 프로그램(adidas Makerlab)이 진행되는 과정을 30분 분량의 다큐멘터리 adidas Campus 80s MakerLab Documentary를 제작하여 공개 하였습니다. 최근 국내 스니커즈 씬에서도 커스텀 영역이 점점 확대되는 와중에 공개되는 아디다스 메이커스 랩 프로젝트라 꽤나 관심가네요. 아디디어 도출, 제작과정과 생산감독까지 모든 과정이 기록되어 있고 신경써서 만든 영상이라 퀄리티도 좋습니다.

“I like to add elements of other genres of footwear to create a hybridisation of a sneaker, bringing in lace hiking loops, adding a moccasin stitch, boat shoe interlacing as those were the only things I could really work with. But here with adidas I could go deeper with the concept of juxtaposing styles and designs. Instead of mixing styles of footwear I could use adidas’s rich archive of iconic/cult silhouettes within my design. Being that the ZX range (specifically the ZX8000) are one of my all time favourite sneakers, I allowed that to heavily show in my design, plus incorporating elements of another favourite the EQT!”
